the following pictures were taken at the Lipp's family reunion that Janice and I went to back in June,2011. It was near Gonzaleze, Texas, which is south of Austin. We had never met most of these relatives so it was fun to get to know them.

In the second week of December,2010, I took my sister-in-law, Sandy, and brother-in-law, Clyde, to Bisbee. Clyde is Erma's brother. For years they have wanted to visit Bisbee and so they were able to do so this past Dec. We had a very nice time. We took our time and had no reason to rush. First, we stopped in Tombstone. Were we toured Boot Hill Cemetary and also the town including the old Courthouse and The Birdcage Theater. The town was founded about 1880, and is famous for the Gun fight at OK Corral. Next we went to Bisbee and found a two bedroom suit at the El Dorado Hotel. We walked aroung upper Bisbee and saw the Lavender open pit mine. Clyde and Sandy thought Bisbee was unique and different from what the had pictured in the minds. On the way home, we stopped off at the Xavier Mission. A mission founded by the monks in about 1790's. These of some the pictures I took of our trip.

KNEE SURGERY

I recently had a total knee replacement. Recovery and rehab has gone without any problems except for one night in the ER. All the medications had made me consipated to the point that if became very painful and I became sort of delerious because of the pain medications. Just ask Yvette. She took me to the hospital. I wanted the receptionist to know that my problem was not the knee but servere consipation. I was saying this very loudly and I was also moaning and groaning because of the pain. We were at the ER for 4 hours. It took 2 hours just to pass everything out. Any since then I have been doing better. My PT says I am further along then most people at my stage. This is a picture of my knee. It was the bad and is now the good knee although it looks like the bad knee now it is actually the good knee. Surgery made the knee look like the bad knee but now it will be the good knee.

On Saturday the 23 we were able to go to the open house in Central, Arizona for the Gila Valley Temple. All my children and grandchildren except two were there. We had a fun time. The counsins seemed to enjoy being around everyone and getting to know each other better.
