KNEE SURGERY

I recently had a total knee replacement. Recovery and rehab has gone without any problems except for one night in the ER. All the medications had made me consipated to the point that if became very painful and I became sort of delerious because of the pain medications. Just ask Yvette. She took me to the hospital. I wanted the receptionist to know that my problem was not the knee but servere consipation. I was saying this very loudly and I was also moaning and groaning because of the pain. We were at the ER for 4 hours. It took 2 hours just to pass everything out. Any since then I have been doing better. My PT says I am further along then most people at my stage. This is a picture of my knee. It was the bad and is now the good knee although it looks like the bad knee now it is actually the good knee. Surgery made the knee look like the bad knee but now it will be the good knee.

On Saturday the 23 we were able to go to the open house in Central, Arizona for the Gila Valley Temple. All my children and grandchildren except two were there. We had a fun time. The counsins seemed to enjoy being around everyone and getting to know each other better.

Jim and Vicki's visit

Two weeks ago Jim and Vicki came for a visit for their home in Florida. We were able to have Mexican food one night and then the next night the whole family came to my house for dinner. It was nice to see them and appreciate their visit. We all had a good time. They then were off to Las Vegas and then to Portland before returning home. They were traveling in their motor home.

Easter 2010 We had a nice dinner and Easter egg hunt for the children at my house Kids enjoyed their candy. It was a nice day Also was able to watch all of the Conference talks Very nice and spiritual.

I had to change my entire house around to accommodate the pool table.

I have been changing my house around to accommodate my pool table. I inherited this pool table from my father-in-law. We had it up in our last house in fact we built a room just for the table. In this house I can not do that since it is a much smaller house. Some ask why put it up since you have so little space, but for one I like the table and then I also feel a responsibility to my father-in-law. He gave it to me and I feel I need to take care of it. Forgive me, Erma, for I know she would not want it in her living room and dining room. This picture in the assembly of it. I will post more pictures when it is finished.

Gary, Jimmy and myself where able to finish the temple work for Uncle Leo and for George. I acted as proxy for George and Gary did the baptism. Jimmy did the initiatory work. Gary and I will do the endowment today, March 19. It was an honor to do the work for them and hope they will accept this kind gesture in the spirit world.

Well I am going to have knee surgery tomorrow Certainly hope all goes well and I can be doing some 5ks in near future although the other knee will probably have to be corrected in the near future to do that. Let you all know how it went as long as I survive. Ha,ha,ha
